I recently finished the latest Deus Ex game. Despite some roughness to it, I can easily see why this game often ranks on people’s “greatest games of all time” list.

Few games today give players as many options to tackle their objectives like the original Deus Ex does, and fewer still have the game world predict and react so well to the player’s actions. Even with the occasionally hokey (and sometimes hilariously stereotypical accented) voice acting, the game tackles on a conspiracy story full of philosophical and political intrigue. On top of it all, the game amazingly manages to allow the player to feel incredibly powerful by the end while also remaining difficult throughout.

All in all, I’m glad to have finally played this game, and its definitely taking a place in my personal “greatest games” list.
